Principal's Message
Dear Tahquitz students, families, and caregivers,
Welcome to our school community, where we are dedicated to embracing, educating, and empowering every student, every day. At Tahquitz High School, we firmly believe in the unique potential of each student and are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for their growth.
I am honored to return as your Principal for the 24-25 school year. I am excited to continue working with our exceptional team of educators who are deeply passionate about nurturing scholars and improving student outcomes. Together, we strive to instill P.R.I.D.E. in our students - a motto and tradition we hold dear.
Our goal is to support each scholar in realizing their academic potential, excelling in sports, finding passion in clubs, or expressing themselves through the arts. We offer a wide range of opportunities, including rigorous Advanced Placement (AP), Dual Enrollment (DE), and AVID classes, as well as robust sports, music, and fine arts programs. Furthermore, our Career Technical Education (CTE) pathway courses and A G courses are designed to prepare all students for success in college, careers, and life beyond graduation.
As a proud graduate and resident of San Jacinto, I am deeply committed to serving our community. With two boys of my own, one of whom will be graduating in the class of 2025, I understand the importance of providing opportunities for our scholars to thrive and take pride in their achievements.
I am excited about the upcoming school year and eager to partner with you in supporting your student's education. My door is always open, and I welcome your thoughts and feedback. Whether by email, phone, or in-person appointment, I am here to listen. As both an educator and a parent in the public school system, I recognize the vital role that the home/school relationship plays in a student's development. Together, let's create a learning community that nurtures, educates, and empowers every student, every day.
Here's to a fantastic year of growth in 2024-2025!
Warm regards,
Andrew Holmes
Tahquitz High School Principal
